The hidden cost of Storage Software Licensing

When calculating the total cost of ownership (TCO) of a storage system one often overlooked component is the software licensing. Even if the software is “free” it has to be repurchased every time the storage hardware is upgraded. At Dell World 2014 we sat down with Dell’s Bob Fine, Storage System’s Director of Product Management to discuss how Dell’s perpetual licensing solutions addresses these challenges and delivers new levels of Storage TCO.
