Hyperconverged architectures have an enterprise problem because while they start off simple enough, as they scale they becoming increasingly complex and waste resources. Storage capacity and performance are particularly difficult to use efficiently. Also, intra-networking, when there are a dozen or more HCI nodes, becomes critical because of the amount of storage traffic that flows across it.
Since enterprise data centers will be the organizations that scale their HCI environments the most, the complexity at scale creates a significant challenge. In our latest white paper, Storage Switzerland details each of the challenges enterprises will face in scaling HCI and how they can overcome them.
