How FireHost Architects for Storage Performance

FireHost is a leading secure managed cloud provider helping companies protect data and meet compliance requirements, typically for PCI and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPA) driven businesses. In this video we talk with FireHost Vice President of Technology Todd Gleason about how he designs storage infrastructures of the future using the Load DynamiX’s storage infrastructure performance validation platform.

FireHost has to do more than meet the high security expectation of its customers. They also have to provide a reliable, high performance storage infrastructure. In the last year Gleason has tested All-Flash Arrays, Hybrid Arrays and Hyper-Converged solutions. Load DynamiX is a critical component of vetting these various solutions to solve current customer demands and is enabling Gleason to design his company’s architecture of the future.

Load DynamiX claims that with its performance validation platform, data centers can better predict how potential new storage systems will perform in their specific environments. The company suggests that the platform can be used to better plan for when, and under what load, the current storage infrastructure will need to be replaced. In the video, we talk to Gleason about these claims to see how well they translate into a demanding data center like FireHost.
