Watch Our On Demand Webinar “Stopping Performance Sprawl – Develop A Single Point of Performance Management”
Flash is the performance go to option for an increasing number of data centers. Flash first took hold in server-side implementations like caching. This was and still is a cost effective way to deliver performance exactly where it is needed; on the server running the application. But as IT budgets began to refresh, storage planners started to implement flash performance in other forms – drive form factor solid state disks (SSD) were added to drive shelves and new hybrid or even all flash storage arrays were purchased. As a result, many data centers have multiple performance options and are struggling with establishing a single point of performance management.
The question is should they move forward with their traditional storage refresh plans or should they invest in cache automated server-side flash?
Cache automated server-side flash can either compliment the next storage purchase by augmenting the performance load between servers and storage or it can actually eliminate the need for a storage refresh altogether by relegating shared storage to a capacity and data protection tier. Most importantly, the right server-side caching solution can establish itself as the single point of performance management; automating the movement of data between any type of flash storage no matter if it is located in the server or shared via a storage system. Establishing this single point of performance management will reduce operational costs and improve overall cache efficiency.
In our webinar, “Stopping Performance Sprawl – How To Develop A Single Point of Performance Management”, George Crump, Lead Analyst at Storage Switzerland and Andrew Flint, Product Manager at Intel, discuss the role of cache accelerated server-side flash, provide guidance on how to select the right performance solution for your next storage refresh and show you how a server-side cache solution can help establish a single point of performance management.
All viewers of this webinar will receive a copy of Storage Switzerland’s white paper, “How To Choose The Right Application Caching Architecture”.
In addition, all registrants will be able to access Storage Switzerland’s extensive library of on-demand webinars, many with exclusive white papers, without having to re-register.
