Overcoming the All-Flash Array Mentality to VDI

When it comes to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) projects, all-flash arrays are quickly moving from a “nice to have” to a “need to have” component of the project. The all-flash required phenomenon is driven partly by users, but largely by all-flash vendors. The goal is noble enough; give users a better experience than what they get from their current physical desktop. However the cost of all-flash, especially given the use case, seems impractical. In this 2 minute video, Storage Switzerland Lead Analyst George Crump and Cloudistics CRO and Founder Todd Fredrick will discuss the alternatives to all-flash arrays for VDI environments.

This trailer is part of a 45 minute webinar where George and Todd discuss all the challenges with VDI and All-Flash, while providing examples of how to overcome them.
